Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon and Calvin Harris will headline next year’s TRNSMT music festival.

The much-loved summer event returns to Glasgow Green on the weekend 12-14 July.

Other acts on the line-up so far include rockers Garbage, pop band Sugababesand 1980s legend Rick Astley.

Earlier Oasis frontman Gallagher playing the band’s classic debut album Definitely Maybe in full for his Friday headline act.

He said: “Can’t wait to return to Glasgow Green next summer to headline TRNSMT.

“I’ll be playing songs from Definitely Maybe as well as some solo stuff. See you there.”

Cinnamon, the popular Castlemilk singer-songwriter, headlines on Saturday after a four-year absence from the festival.

He said: “Be chased daily to do TRNSMT again, well hunt no more.

“Saturday 13 July there is a big lovely summer song. See you there.”

Superstar DJ Harris will then finish the event on Sunday.

Courteeners, Chase & Status, The Snuts, Tom Grennan, Declan McKenna, Dylan John Thomas, Blossoms, Example, Cian Ducrot, Enter Shikari, Picture This, Baby Queen, The Mary Wallopers, CMAT and The Last Dinner Party have also been booked to play.

Festival director Geoff Ellis said: “Having welcomed one of the best crowds TRNSMT has ever seen in 2023, we can’t wait to get everyone back for the seventh year of incredible live music.

“We’ve created the dream line-up for many of our TRNSMT fans and there are plenty more acts to be announced – but we couldn’t wait to reveal festival favorites Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon and Calvin Harris, who will be kicking off our biggest line-up yet -up.

“Next year is expected to sell out, so get your tickets now to avoid disappointment.”

The tickets go on sale on Friday.
