19-year-old Coco Gauff of the United States wowed everyone with her performance on Saturday (September 9, 2023) as she beat Aryna Sabalenka in the US Open women’s singles final to claim her first Grand Slam title. She has now become the first American tennis player to win the tournament as a teenager since Serena Williams’ victory in 1999, who was 17 at the time. Wishes and congratulatory messages have poured in for Coco from all parts of the world. Popular Indian dairy brand Amul has also paid tribute to her through a special item: a signature doodle.

Amul often marks historic achievements with a signature doodle. Last month, the brand congratulated the javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra after he became the first Indian to win gold at the World Athletics Championships. The brand shared an illustration of the Olympic gold medalist with the national flag. The athlete is seen wearing his medal with a slice of butter and bread in one hand. The doodle also shows the Amul girl running with a spear of bread and butter in her hand. The text on the subject read: “Javelwin! Gold Standard.” Check it out here.
